*The above event codes notated with an asterisk have a default setting to ON that cannot be
disabled. This is the intended functionality and is not an indication that the radio is not working
properly.

Button Beeps

1.
To turn the button beeps off press the "MENU" button.
2.
Press the "UP" or "DOWN" arrows until the display says "BUTTON BEEPS." Press the
"ENTER" button.
3.
You now have the option of turning the button beeps either "ON" or "OFF." If you want to
disable the button beeps select "OFF" then press the "ENTER" button.
4.
Press the "MENU" button to save your settings and exit the menu.

Backlight Dimmer

The backlight brightness on the WR400 can be adjusted in the menu from levels 1 to 10 with 10
being the brightest.
1.
To adjust the backlight dimmer setting press the "MENU" button.
2.
Press the "UP" or "DOWN" arrows until the display says "BACkLIGHT." Press the "ENTER"
button.
3.
You now have the option of selecting between backlight levels 1 to 10. Scroll to your selection
using the "UP" or "DOWN" arrows then press the "ENTER" button.
4.
Press the "MENU" button to save your settings and exit the menu. Now when you press the
backlight dimmer button, the LCD backlight will dim to your chosen brightness setting.

USB Charge Port

The WR400 has a USB charge port that is capable of charging most portable devices such as cell
phones, tablets, and MP3 players at up to 1 amp of charge current. To charge a device, make sure
the WR400 is plugged into the AC power adapter and plug your device into the USB charge port.
The USB charge port will not work when the WR400 is powered from the AA batteries.
