1.7 REPLACEMENT OF IC223 ON THE SW-CPU BOARD
(1) A special tool is available for use in removing IC223 (please
purchase SUN HAYATO Model GY-X8 or similar tool
separetely). Two small screwdrivers can also be used in place
of the special tool.

(2) When using the special tool, fit sections A of the tool into
grooves B on the opposite corners of the IC socket and re-
move the IC as if pinching it up.
When using small screwdrivers, fit their tips into the grooves
ay the opposite corners of the IC socket and remove the IC
as if pulling it up.

(3) When inserting the IC, align the IC orientation and fit it into
position with a finger, taking care that the attached IC is not
tilted.
