1) Authentication method
Switch the authentication method.
Touch the current selection to switch the authentication method between [Operator name + password] and
[External auth (general)]. When [External auth (general)] is selected, the [Enable operator name/pswd
authentication] check box appears.
Select the checkbox to also perform authentication through an operator name and password at login.
2) Automatic logout time
Touch [Automatic logout time], and then the Automatic logout time edit dialog is displayed.
Input the time.
When the input is completed, touch the [Enter] key.
3) Password expiration date
Touch [Password expiration date], and then the Password expiration date edit dialog is displayed.
Input the expiration date.
When the input is completed, touch the [Enter] key.
4) Adv. notification
Touch [Adv. notification], and then the Enter advance notification days dialog is displayed.
Input the number of days.
When the input is completed, touch the [Enter] key.
5) Initial position
Touch [Initial position], and then the Ext. auth. ID initial position input dialog is displayed.
Input the front position.
When the input is completed, touch the [Enter] key.
6) Valid byte count input
Touch [Valid byte count input], and then the Ext. auth. ID valid byte count input dialog is displayed.
Input the valid byte count.
When the input is completed, touch the [Enter] key.
(Only available when the external authentication (general) is set as the authentication method.)
7) Continuous failure count
Touch [Continuous failure count] and the Continuous failure count input dialog box appears.
Input the failure count.
When the input is completed, touch the [Enter] key.
8) Prohibition time
Touch [Prohibition time], and then the Prohibi-tion time input dialog is displayed.
Input the prohibition time.
