Clearing Dump Information

Command: /maint/cldmp
To clear dump information from flash memory, at the Maintenance# prompt, enter:
Maintenance# cldmp
The GbE2 Interconnect Switch clears the dump region of flash memory and displays the
following message:
FLASH dump region cleared.
If the flash dump region is already clear, the switch displays the following message:
FLASH dump region is already clear.

Panic Command

Command: /maint/panic
The panic command causes the GbE2 Interconnect Switch to immediately dump state
information to flash memory and automatically reboot.
To select panic, at the Maintenance# prompt, enter:
>> Maintenance# panic
A FLASH dump already exists.
Confirm replacing existing dump and reboot [y/n]:
Enter y to confirm the command:
Confirm dump and reboot [y/n]: y
A list of messages is displayed:
Starting system dump...done.
Reboot at 11:54:08 Wednesday October 30, 2002...
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Rebooted because of console PANIC command.
