Replacing the Moving Head (2)

6. Turn the handwheel to set the index disk at
270º.
7. Turn the idler gear to set the moving head to
the needle bar No. 3.
Push the needle bar No. 3 down to engage the
needle bar clutch.
8. Turn the handwheel until the needle goes into
the needle hole.
9. Check the needle drop position. The needle
drop position should be the center of the needle
hole.
If the needle drop position is off position to the
front or rear, adjust the needle drop position
(see the next page).
If the needle drop position is off position in the
lateral direction, adjust the position of the lateral
moving head (se page 33).
10.Turn the handwheel to set the index disk at
270º
11. Connect the connectors and attach the parts
removed.
