2. To remove a 16-port card, you must first turn off power to the card slot:

a. Log on the switch from a terminal emulator application, (such as
HyperTerminal on Windows systems, or TERM in a Unix or Linux
environment).
b. Configure terminal emulator settings. Refer to
Network Addresses via a Network Connection
values.
c. Turn off power to the appropriate 16-port card. For example, if removing
the 16-port card in slot 4, enter:
slotPowerOff 4
d. Check that 16-port card LEDs are off.
