Using a Memory Card
Recommended Memory Cards
You can use commercially available

SDHC (SD high capacity) memory
cards and

SD memory cards with
this camcorder. However, depending on
its Speed Class, you may not be able to
record movies on the memory card.
Refer to the table on page 32.
As of January 2008, the movie
recording function has been tested
using SD/SDHC memory cards made
by Panasonic, SanDisk and Toshiba.
We recommend using memory cards
with a Speed Class 4 or higher.

NOTES
• About SOHC Memory Cards: SOHC is the
new type of SO memory card with
capacities over 2 GB. Please note that
the specifications of SOHC memory
cards are different from those of regular
SO memory cards and you will not be
able to use memory cards of over 2 GB
with devices that do not support SOHC.
However, SOHC devices (including this
camcorder) are backward compatible
and support regular SO memory cards.
• About the SO Speed Class: The SO Speed
Class is a standard that indicates the
minimum guaranteed data transfer
speed of SO/SOHC memory cards.
