Limited Number of Write Operations

"Limited service life components" include the NAND flash memory which has a limited
number of write operations
Depending on how SSDs are used, the NAND flash memory may reach the predetermined number of
write operations before the product warranty period expires.
Warranty period
The product warranty period ends when the warranty period expires or when the product reaches the
guaranteed predetermined write value, whichever comes first.
Checking the status of the allowed write value, etc.
• The status can be checked with management software or with command line tools.
• Estimate the amount of writes when designing the system. In addition, check the status regularly
after system implementation.
• If there is a possibility that the guaranteed predetermined write value is reached before the
system reaches the end of its service life, spare parts and procedures for moving the data to the
spare parts must be prepared.
