Services or directories / files on Headless
server are no longer accessible for clients
One or more of the installed services on the Headless server do not work as
expected or it is not possible to access shared folders on the Headless server
from a client computer.
Services or shares have been changed / removed
Ê Establish a Remote Desktop connection to your Headless server as
described in section
Ê Ask your system administrator if the configuration of services and shares is
still correct.
Ê Use the Windows event log on your Headless server to identify and diagnose
the source of current system problems.
Network connection problems
Ê Check the network cable between the client computer and the Headless
server for proper connection.
Ê Ensure that the LAN activity LEDs on the Ethernet adapters of your client
computer and Headless server indicate a successful connection.
Ê Try using a different network cable.
Ê Establish a direct connection between the client computer and the Headless
server in order to rule out other network problems. Make sure to use a cross-
over cable if your client is equipped with an Ethernet adapter that only
supports connections at speeds up to 100 Mbit/s.
Headless server is powered off
Ê Check if the Headless server is powered off.
Ê If applicable, power on your Headless server.
