    Introduction Philips DVD Video Introduction Your Philips DVD Video Player will play digital video discs conforming to the universal DVD Video standard. With it, you will be able to enjoy full-length movies with true cinema picture quality, as well as stereo or multi-channel sound (depending on the disc and your playback setup).

    DVD Player. (Refer to page 14.) ¶ Make sure the TV’s Sync Mode setting is correct. For example, on some Philips TVs, set “SYNC MODE” to “SYNC MODE 2.” An incorrect Sync Mode setting will cause the picture to shift off-center on the TV screen while using Progressive Scan.

    Right and Left jacks to the Right and Left AUDIO IN jacks on the other equipment. Remember, you only need one audio and one video connection between the TV and the DVD Player, so you do not have to use all the jacks on the DVD Player.

    When this occurs, the symbol appears on the TV screen, indicating that the operation is not permitted by the DVD Player or is not available on the disc. Remote control operation ¶ Unless stated, all operations can be carried out with the remote control.

If a PBC menu includes titles, you can select a title directly. Enter your choice with the numerical keys (0-9).
