Setting Delayed Start Self Clean (Lower oven only)
Important: The Delay Start key only activates this feature in the
lower oven and will not delay a self clean in the upper oven.
To start self clean cycle with a delay start time of 4:30:
1.
Press Self Clean. CLEAN will flash and 3:00 HR will show in
the display. The oven will automatically clean for a 3 hour
period.
Note: if a 2 or 4 hour clean time is desired, press 2 0 0 for 2
hour or 4 0 0 for a 4 hour clean time.
2. Press
. The DOOR LOCKED icon will flash, the CLEAN
icon and the letters CLn will remain in the display.
3. Press Delay Start for the lower oven.
4. Enter the start time numbers 4 3 0.
5. Press
. CLEAN, DELAY, LOCK, and DOOR will be
displayed.

6. The control will start the self cleaning at the set delay start
time.

When the self clean cycle is completed:
1.
HOT will appear in the display. The time of day, the DOOR
LOCKED and CLEAN icon will remain in the display.
2. Once the oven has cooled down for approximately one
hour, and the DOOR LOCKED icon is no longer displayed,
the oven door can then be opened.
If you are planning to use the oven directly after a self clean
cycle remember to allow time for the oven to cool down and the
oven door to unlock. This normally takes about one hour. So a 3
hour self clean cycle will usually take about 4 hours to
complete.
Stopping or Interrupting a Self Clean
If it becomes necessary to stop or interrupt a self cleaning cycle
due to excessive smoke or fire in the oven:
1.

2. The oven door can only be opened after the oven has
cooled down for approximately one hour and the DOOR
LOCKED icon is no longer displayed.
Note: If your clock is set for the normal 12 hour display mode
the delayed self clean cycle can never be set to start more than
12 hours in advance. To set for delayed self clean cycle 12 to 24
hours in advance the control must be set for the 24 hour time of
day display mode.
