Drive Shaft
Assembly
Notes:
1. Using the transmission circlip
driver
(special
tool),
install the
ball
bearing onto the drive shaft
with the
mark
on
the
bearing
facing
outward.
2. To
install
a
circlip
without damage,
use the
transmis-
sion circlip driver
(special tool).

Replace any circl ip
that
has
been removed
with new
one.
4. Instal
l
the
splined
washer
so
that
its teeth
do
not
match with
the
circlip
opening.

The
drive
shaft gears can
be
identified by size,
the
gear
with smallest
diameter being the
1st
gear, and
the largest one being the top
gear. Be sure
that
all
parts are
put
back
in the
correct sequence and direc-
tion,
and
ali circlips
and
washers
are
properly in
place.
6.
The
2nd gear must
be
installed with the dented side
facing
outward.

Output Shaft Assembly Notes:
