Setting the Sensitivity

Sensitivity (ISO sensitivity) is a value indicating how sensitive the CCD
is to light. Low value equals low sensitivity, and high value equals high

sensitivity. Sensitivity can be adjusted according to the shooting
situations.
Sensitivity
AUTO800 (50 - 800) is selected by default. You can also set ISO Correction
in AUTO to 50 - 100, 50 - 200, 50 - 400, 50 - 800 or 50 - 1600.

(In Digital SR mode, AUTO1600 (50 - 1600) is selected by default. The
setting up to 50-3200 is selectable.)

Press the MENU button in Capture mode.
The [A Rec.Mode] menu appears.

Use the four-way controller (23)
to select [Sensitivity].

At a lower sensitivity, images are sharper and noise is reduced, but the
shutter speed will be slower under dark conditions.
At a higher sensitivity, the shutter speed will be higher, but image
noise will increase.
(In Digital SR mode, 3200 is also selectable.)
