The DSS key LED informs the attendant of the status of assigned
l
extensions. The LED lights red when the extension is busy and green when
Absence Message, Calf Foruarding, or DND is activated.
Pressing a DSS key while connected to an outside line places the line on
l
hold.
A headset can be connected to attendant or non-attendant phones. (Dial tent
is normally turned off when the headset is connected.)
To use a headset:
2. Press the ON/OFF key.
3. Press "#5 1."
The ON/OFF LED remains lit.
To stop using a headset:
Repeat the preceding steps.
Headsets are not provided with the DBS; they must be purchased
l
separately.
Most commercially available headsets (with KM mike transducers) can
l
be used.
Headset Operation is not available with SLT telephones.
