Before removing the carbon deposits,
observe the color of the porcelain tip of each
spark plug. This color tells you whether or
not the standard spark plug is suitable for
your type of usage. A normally-operating
spark plug should be light brown in color. If
the spark plug is white or glazed appearing
then it has been operating much too hot.
This spark plug should be replaced with a
colder plug.
PLUG REPLACEMENT GUIDE
An improper spark plug may have an
incorrect fit or inappropriate heat range
for your engine. This may cause severe
engine damage which may not be cov-
ered under warranty.
Use one of the spark plugs listed or their
equivalent. Consult your Suzuki dealer if
you are not sure which spark plug is cor-
rect for your type of usage.
