Intended to alert the user of the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the product.
  • Page 3 The unit is attractively packaged in a rugged, rack-mountable configuration requiring only two rack spaces. Naturally it has Peavey’s patented DDTTM Compression Circuitry, and has a very flexible back panel. The design uses dual two speed fan cooling to provide all the cooling necessary for the two ohm load conditions.
  • Page 4 FEAT position, this LED indicates when clipping distortion is occurring in that channel. CIRCUIT BREAKERS (4) The CS 1800G uses circuit breakers in place of main fuses. These breakers are provided to limit the current to the associated power transformer for each channel, and thereby offer protection from overheating and possible destruction due to fault conditions in the amplifier.
  • Page 5 Never break off the ground pin on the CS 1800G power amplifier. The use of extension cords should be avoided, but if necessary, always use a three-wire type with at least a #14 AWG wire size.

  • Page 7 Load Rating of twice that of the single channel rating. In this case, the CS 1800G is rated at 900 W RMS per channel into 2 ohms. Thus, the Bridge Rating is 1800 W RMS into 4 ohms (minimum load).
  • Page 8 The DDT system is an automatic, hands-off approach to the problem of power amplifier clipping. Since the CS 1800G power amplifier uses circuit breakers for the over-current protection, the DDT compression system plays even a more important roll in continuous performance by preventing each channel from clipping and overloading.

COMPRESSION DDTTM Le systeme brevet6 de compression DDTrM de Peavey permet a l’ingenieur du son de maximiser les performances de l’ensemble amplificateur/haut-parleurs en empechant l’amplificateur d’avoir une marge insuffisante (&&age). Er sollte an einem unabhangigen Stromkreis angeschlossen werden, der eine Dauerleistungsentnahme von mindestens 15 Ampere gestattet. Diese Voraussetzung mul3 insbesondere bei langerem Betrieb mit hoher Ausgangsleistung erftillt sein. Wenn keine Schutzkontakt-Netzsteckdose verfiigbar ist, mu13 anderweitig fur eine ausreichende Schutzerdung gesorgt werden.

Der Uberbriickungsmodus findet such bei Subwoofer, wo sehr hohe Leistungspegel erforderlich sind, urn die extrem tiefen Frequenzen entsprechend zu reproduzieren, haufigen Einsatz. Derartige Boxen enthalten gewiihnlich 2 oder 4 Lautsprecher, urn die beteiligten Energiepegel handhaben zu konnen.
