Opening the bonnet

To open the bonnet, pull handle 1.
Take care when working
under the bonnet as the
engine cooling fan may
start up at any moment.

Unlocking the bonnet catch
To unlock, pull catch 2.
Simultaneously lift the bonnet and
unclip strut 4 from its mounting 3
and, for your own safety, it must be
placed in location 5 in the bonnet.

Closing the bonnet
To close the bonnet, replace stay 4
in its mounting 3, grip the bonnet in
the middle and follow it down to 8
inches (20 cm) above the closed
position, then release it. It will latch
automatically under its own weight.
Before closing the bonnet, check to
make sure that nothing has been left
in the engine compartment.
Check that the bonnet is
correctly locked.
