Setting Up a Console Connection

To access the Switch through an Console port (out-of-band) connection,
follow these steps:
1.
Configure the management console as described above under
uring the Management Console
2.
For a direct console connection, connect the PC or terminal to the
Console serial port using one of these console cables:
A DB9-to-RJ45 cable (shipped with the switch).
A micro-USB cable (not provided).

Power on the management console (terminal or PC). If you are using a
PC, start the PC terminal program.

For a direct console connection through the Console port:
