4. Roam Indicator— Shows W when your phone is seeking or using a network outside
your home network.
5. Active Line Indicator— Shows h to indicate an active call, or g to indicate when
call forwarding is on. Indicators for dual-line-enabled SIM cards can include:

e= line 2 active
6. Messaging Presence Indicator— Shows when instant messaging (IM) is active.
Indicators can include:
P= IM active
_= busy
J= available for
phone calls
The Java™ indicator z shows when a Java application is active.
7. Message Indicator— Shows when you receive a new message. Indicators can include:

s= voicemail &

8. Location Indicator— Shows when your phone can send location information Ö or
not Ñ.
9. Ring Style Indicator— Shows the ring style setting.
õ= loud ring
ô= soft ring
Î= vibrate
10. Battery Level Indicator— Vertical bars show the battery charge level. Recharge the
battery when your phone shows LowBattery.

Menu Navigation

U9 telephones are equipped with an icon and graphical-based user interface. All of
the phone's features can be accessed with a 5-way navigation key that allows you
to move easily through menus and select menu items.
