CHargINg PHaSeS

Step 1: Diagnosis
Diagnostic function which automatically checks the battery status and recognises the
voltage.
Step 2: Precharging
the battery is gently charged with a low charging current to return the battery to a
chargeable state
Step 3: Soft start
the battery is gently charged with a low charging current.
Step 4: Primary charging
the battery is quickly and safely charged at the maximum charging current.
Step 5: Absorptionsladung
When the battery is nearly fully charged, the charger will use a consistent end-of-
charge current until no additional charging current flows and the battery is fully
charged.
Step 6: Trickle charge
Once the battery is fully charged, the charging process will stop.
Step 7: Maintenance charging/trickle charge
the charger monitors the battery capacity. Once the battery falls below 12.8 V,
the charger will emit a charging pulse. this maintains the battery's highest possible
charging level.
Step 8: Jump start function (Boost mode)
the charger's jump start function can be used to help start vehicles with a weak
battery.
