1. Connect the AC/DC adapter power cable to the power connector on the back of the controller,
and then plug the AC/DC power adapter into a nearby properly grounded electrical outlet.
The controller performs a self-test.

NOTE:
AC/DC power adapter is connected to the controller and the adapter power cable is connected
to a power source. The external AC/DC power adapter automatically adjusts to any voltage
between 100–240 volts and either 50 or 60 Hz. The MSM720 cannot be powered by Power
over Ethernet (PoE).
2. Observe the LEDs on the controller as described below to verify that it passes the self-test.

During the self-test:
Initially, all controller and port LEDs are on. Most of the LEDs turn off and some might turn on
again during phases of the self-test.
For the duration of the self-test, the Test LED stays on.
