Thank you for purchasing an Theben HTS presence detector and putting your trust in us. 1. Safety Familiarise yourself with the presence detector before assembly and start- up by reading this operating instructions. IMPORTANT! The unit requires no maintenance. Opening the unit or inserting foreign bodies into it will invalidate the warranty.
2. Function and performance features 2.1 Presence detection Highly sensitive PIR sensors and a nifty lens system provide for continuous coverage of the room to detect the presence of people (presence detection). 2.2 Real daylight measurement Daylight measurement allows you to control lighting independently of artificial lighting.

3.3 Light measurement ● The ECO-IR presence detector is designed for use with fluorescent lamps. It is particularly suitable for switching electronic ballasts. Incande- scent or halogen lamps may interfere with the operation of the detector. ● With indirect lighting, ensure that the light from these lamps is not direc- ted at the detector, as this would affect the daylight measurement.
ECO-IR DUAL-EIB „A Window” must face towards the window side (according to the Lux value for LuxA or LuxB). ● When using a wall-mounted ECO-IR 180EIB-AC, the labelling must be legible (plug on top). 4.2 Dismantling / Post-adjustment ●...
5. Start-up procedure 5.1 Remote Parameter Setting Via ETS All settings are made via the ETS (see „KNX/EIB Product Database - Outli- ne“). They can be changed at any time. 5.2 Local Settings The local settings of the potentiometers and DIP-switches are only active, if they are enabled on the ETS.

Potentiometer: ● Default setting of potentiometer is in middle position. 5.3 „Run“ mode (default setting) In „run“ mode the detector runs through three phases, which are displayed by a LED behind the sensor lens, whenever it is plugged in: 1. Start-up phase (90 sec.) 2.
Page 12
2. Service phase - LED on when dark, LED off when alight In the service phase the detector has an immediate reaction to brightness change in order to quickly check the set daylight switching level (Lux). ● If the room is dimmed (e.g. by closing blinds), the lighting switches on when it reaches the switching level (LED on).
6. «Test» mode Test setting should be set locally or via ETS ● The «test» mode is used to check the type of operation, presence detection and ensure multiple detectors are correctly coupled. ● In case of parallel connection all detectors must be set to «test». ●...

2. Walking test – LED on when motion is detected ● The walking test begins after the identification phase. It allows the user to check presence detection and parallel connection of multiple detectors. ● The „Light“ and „HVAC“ switch-off delays are shortened to approx. 10 or 20 seconds.
Theben HTS therefore guarantees perfect function, provided the detectors are used as intended. However, should a de- fect occur, Theben HTS offers the following warranty within the scope of its General Terms and Conditions of Business: Please bear in mind the following points: ●...
9. Troubleshooting Fault Cause Remedy LED blinks fast No or wrong application Program correct application Lighting on after Both outputs are closed for 90 Wait for 90 s. The device then the detector is s after the detector has been responds immediately to changes in connected.
