∫ Custom settings for each channel
Press [3, 4, 2, 1] to select the TV
station that you want to tune and press
[ENTER].
The TUNING BOX screen appears.

Press [3, 4] to select the desired items and press [1].
Pos To change the order in which the TV stations are
assigned to the programme positions.
Press [3, 4] or numbered buttons to select the
number of the desired programme position and
press [ENTER].
Name To enter or change the name of a TV station.
Press [3, 4, 2, 1] to enter station name and
press [ENTER].
If the station name needs a blank space, select
the blank between "Z" and "¢".
Channel To enter newly available TV stations or change the
channel number of an already tuned TV station.
Press the numbered buttons to enter the channel
number of the desired TV station.
Wait a few moments until the desired TV station
has been tuned.
After the desired TV station is tuned, press
[ENTER].
NICAM To select the type of sound to be recorded.
Press [3, 4] to select "Auto".
≥Select "Off" if you want to record the normal
(mono) sound during a stereo, bilingual or
NICAM broadcast, or if the stereo sound is
distorted due to inferior reception conditions.
Title Page To select the title extraction from the TV guide of
the broadcaster.
Press [3, 4] to select the number between 100
and 899.
≥In case of a TV station with Teletext information,
the title of the TV programme is entered
automatically, provided the "Title page" is
correctly set.
≥In case of a TV station with Teletext information,
the name of the TV station is recorded
automatically.
≥The unit's clock must be set correctly.
≥In case of a TV station with Teletext information,
it may take over 30 minutes to get the title or
may fail to get.
Auto-Setup Restart, Download
You can use the SETUP menus to start Auto Channel setting if Auto-
Setup ( page 20) fails for some reason.

Press [3, 4] to select "Auto-Setup
Restart" or "Download", and press
[ENTER].
The confirmation screen appears.

Press [2] to select "Yes" and
[ENTER].
Auto Setup or the Download starts.

A message appears asking you to
confirm the operation.
≥Actual screens depend on the operation. Follow the on-
screen instructions.
Owner ID
You can change the "PIN number", "Name", "House No." and
"Postcode".
While SETUP menu screen is displayed

Press [3, 4] to select "Settings" and
press [1].

press [ENTER].

Press [1], and then the numbered
buttons to enter your "PIN number"
( page 19).

≥After entering the correct "PIN number", you can change the

∫ To Display the Owner ID setting menu
While stopped
Press and hold [∫] on the main unit for
more than 5 seconds.
≥The PIN number is not displayed.
≥After 30 seconds, this menu automatically disappears.
