Directory Database Maintenance
The attendant console database should be backed up regularly.

R5 and earlier Back Up Database

Backing up the current database is a recommended prior to upgrading the CIX Attendant Console
software or when removing the database.
1. Select Start > Programs > Strata CIX Attendant >
CIX Attendant Database Utility.
2. Click the Backup button (shown right).
3. Select or enter the target folder where you want to
store the backup file, then click OK. Remember this
folder so you can specify its name when you wish to
restore the database.
When the back up is done, the Status line shows
"Database Backup Complete." "Pcatt.bak" is the
backup file; however, you generally won't need to refer to this file.
4. Click Exit when done.

Attendant Console V6 Database Backup

This procedure creates a backup of the Version 6 or later Attendant Console database. Toshiba
recommends a database backup before changing or updating the Attendant Console software.
1. Close the Attendant application.
2. Create a folder to store the data backup. For example C:\PCATT_Backup
For a PC Attendant backup select: Start > All Programs > Strata CTX Attendant > Backup
and Restore Database
For an IP Attendantbackup select: Start > All Programs > Strata IP Attendant > Backup
and Restore Database Utility
