1. Introduction

1.1

Overview

ASUS AX-125/145 is an RFC3261/SIP compliant VoIP terminal adapter with NAT/
Firewall functions. The main chip of AX-125/145 has a built-in and standalone high
speed DSP to provide high audio quality and echo cancellation without occupying
the CPU power. This means the CPU can provide better performance of Ethernet
services in such a highly integrated and compact size box.
AX-125/145 can work with all RFC3261 compliant devices or SIP servers to
provide voice communication service and share broadband service with other
devices connected to the AX-125/145 LAN port.

Supports DHCP client, DHCP server, PPPoE, DNS, HTTP
5 xRJ45 ports (WAN x 1/LAN x 4) support easy to use NAT/Firewall functions
AX-125 : 3 x RJ11 jacks support two FXS port and one bypass mode FXO port.
AX-145 : 5 x RJ11 jacks support four FXS port and one bypass mode FXO port.
Support most popular vocoders ; G.711u/A, G.723.1, G.729AB with 32ms tail length
line echo cancellation (G.168), silence suppression, Voice Activity Detection(VAD),
Comfortable Noise Generator (CNG)
Definable fixed jitter buffer
Support DTMF/FSK caller ID generation, and call transfer, call forwarding, call
waiting.
DTMF operation mode: RFC2833, Info, in band audio
FAX supports G.711 pass through
MD5 authentication
QoS : Policy base/bandwidth control Diffserv
NAT traversal : STUN and outbound proxy
Allow configuration by web browser or phone touch tone keypad
