For Long and Trouble-Free Operation: Error Messages
Description
Characters in the clip name had to be deleted in
adding the counter value.
Too many clips are selected.
There is not enough recording capacity left on the
card.
A thumbnail containing a grayed out text memo
that cannot be generated is not available for
editing.
An attempt was made to delete an unselected
clip.
All cards that contain the clip must be inserted to
allow attachment of markers.
Not enough space left on the hard disk.
There are too many partitions.
The unit is not connected to a hard disk.
The hard disk cannot be initialized.
Multiple devices are connected.
The connected DVD drive is not compatible.
An error occurred during hard disk access.
The destination target cannot be properly
recognized.
An error occurred during P2 card access.
Copying cannot be made because the
destination card is in the wrong format.
The P2 card is not formatted.
The P2 selected for copying is empty.
The compare check after copying failed.
This warning indicates that data could not be
imported from a hard disk to a P2 card because
the P2 card contained recorded data.
An attempt was made to change PERSON when
no text memo had been entered.
The entered value is invalid.
The specified file does not exist.
The play list file is opened as read only because
it is in a different version.
The files are not in the same format.
The play list file exceeds the upper limit on
events.
Measure
The user clip name plus the counter value can only
contain up to 100 bytes. Characters in the clip name
are automatically deleted when the total exceeds
100 bytes.
Reduce the number of selected clips.
Insert a card with sufficient recording capacity.
Edit settings or content to enable thumbnail display.
Select the clip you want to delete.
Insert all cards that contain the clip.
There is not enough space on the connected hard
disk. Use a new hard disk or formatted hard disk.
Hard disks can handle up to 15 partitions. Use a new
hard disk or formatted hard disk.
Reconnect the USB cable. If the hard disk does not
operate normally, turn it off and turn it back on again.
Connect another hard disk drive.
Disconnect devices, turn off the unit and turn it back
on again.
Disconnect devices, turn off the unit and turn it back
on again.
Check hard disk status and connection.
Reboot the hard disk or connect a different hard disk.
Check P2 card.
Use a P2 card with appropriate capacity.
Use a formatted P2 card.
Copying is not performed since the card is empty.

save them out.

The upper limit on events is 100 events. Files are
opened as read only.
