INSTALLATIONS
Warning
The installation should be made by qualified service personnel or system installers.
Places to avoid
• Places exposed to sunlight directly or near a source of heat such as a radiator
• Very dirty and dusty places
• Places subject to having strong vibrations
• Near magnetic field sources such as near a television or speakers
• Near high-voltage cables such as a power cable
• Near noise sources such as fluorescent lamps
• Places where condensation forms easily
• Humid places
• Places where temperature changes remarkably
• Places where are not level
• Steamy and oily places such as kitchens
About mounting
• Do not block the ventilation openings (on the bottom of the encoder and the both sides of the decoder) in the cover
to prevent the appliances from overheating. Clear a space of more than 5 cm from both sides, the top, and the rear
of the appliances.
• Keep the temperature in the rack below +45 °C (113 °F).
• Install the appliances in the rack as low as possible. Refer to the "Rack Mounting" section on page 28 for further
information.
Heat Dissipation
Refer to the following to prevent fire and malfunction of
the appliances.
• Do not block the ventilation openings (on the bottom
of the encoder and the both sides of the decoder) in
the cover to prevent the appliances from
overheating. Maintain the appliances periodically to
prevent dust from blocking openings.
• The cooling fan is perishable. It will need to be
replaced it after around 30 000 hours of operation.
Replacement costs of the cooling fan are not
covered by the warranty even if it needs to be done
within the warranty period. Consult your dealer for
servicing.
