Protective Earthing / Grounding

When installing a SICAM TM system, attention is to be paid that the cabinet or rack used
features a proper protective earthing / grounding. That means, that all electrical conducting
parts must be connected large-surface and as short as possible with the cabinet spar. The
cabinet spar itself must be connected with the existing grounding system.
If these prerequisites are given, the grounding of the SICAM TM system takes place over a
connection to the mounting sheet or to the TS35 rail. (grounding wire 2,5mm
connection is achieved by using screws with contact washers.
Hint
The TS35 rail of a complete equipped pripheral element (PS+PE+8 I/O Modules) must be bolted at least
4x on metallic background. This background must be at least 40 cm wide. A mounting plate is
recommended.
