IPv6 neighbor discovery protocol

The IPv6 Neighbor Discovery (ND) protocol uses the following types of ICMPv6 messages to implement
the following functions:
Address resolution

Neighbor reachability detection

 Duplicate address detection
 Router/prefix discovery and address autoconfiguration
