5.5 Installation of drivers for PCS 7
1. Open the dialog for setting the network connections.
2. Select the menu command View > Details.
3. With the right mouse button, select the communication module with one of the following
names in the column "Device name:"
– When using a CP 16xx:
Select the shortcut menu command Properties. The "<Network Connection> Properties"
dialog opens.
Recommendation:
First, select the shortcut menu command Rename. Enter a descriptive name, for example,
"CP_NDIS_Nr_1".
4. Select the connection "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" in the "General" registry. Click
"Properties".
The "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties" dialog box opens.
5. Activate the "Use the following IP address" check box.
Configure the following fields for the specific plant:
– IP address
– Subnet mask
6. Click "OK".
7. Close the dialog box "<Network Connection> Properties" by clicking "OK".
Result
The network settings for the NDIS adapter are now applied.
