2.3 Commissioning the panel

When the Smart control panel is put into
service for the first time it starts up in commis-
sioning mode. The first thing that appears on
the screen is the language selection. You can
scroll through the language options using the
up and down buttons. The desired language is
activated by pressing the select button.

2.4 Smart functions

The functions displayed under the
functions" menu varies depending on
how the ventilation unit is equipped and
the choices made during the commission-
ing phase. However, all Smart functions are
described here.
You can activate the function from the
functions" menu by pressing the se-

lect button when the cursor is on the desired
function. If the select button is pressed and
held, you get access to the function's settings.
Some of the functions are so-called back-
ground functions. For these there is an option
box in the menu that indicates whether the
function is in use or not.
All Smart-boosting can be stopped temporar-
ily by pressing a selection button. However,
the function remains active and when the
conditions are met the boost function works
as normal again.

BOOST TIME
The function for the Boost operating mode
can be adjusted by selecting the length of
the boost period to 30, 60 or 120 minutes.
Continuous boost can also be selected. If con-
tinuous boost is selected, the ventilation unit
remains in boost mode until the operating
mode is changed from the control panel.
FIREPLACE FUNCTION
The smart fireplace function facilitates light-
ing the fire and ensures clean combustion.
Problems caused by too little draught in an
open fireplace usually occur in the autumn,
when the temperature difference between the
indoor and outdoor air is slight and the chim-
ney is cold. The fireplace function decreases
the extract air fan speed and increases the
supply air fan speed. This produces temporary
excess pressure in the home while the fire is
ignited and in this way creates an updraught
in the chimney. After the first phase passes
the fireplace function switches to mainte-
nance mode and compensates the need of
combustion air. The function can be cancelled
from the control panel.
Selectable settings for the fireplace function
are the function for the desired operating time
(max. 60 min) and the desired difference in
fan speed (max. 50 %). If problems occur with
the chimney draught when lighting the fire,
the percentage value can be increased slightly
from the default value.
TRAVELLING
You can reduce ventilation unit's power con-
sumption by using the "Travelling" function,
when the home is empty for long periods.
For the "travelling" function you can select
the desired lowering of the fan speeds com-
pared to Away-mode (max. 20 %) and the
desired reduction of the supply air tempera-
ture (max. 2°C).
External cooling is not permitted when the
"Travelling" function is selected.
