Release the ZIF connector (2) to which the TouchPad cable is attached, and then disconnect
the TouchPad cable from the system board.
11.
Release the ZIF connector (3) to which the keyboard cable is attached, and then disconnect
the keyboard cable from the system board.
12.
Remove the keyboard/top cover.
Reverse this procedure to install the keyboard/top cover.

Description
TouchPad (includes cable)
Before removing the TouchPad, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the keyboard/top cover (see

1.
Turn the keyboard/top cover upside down with the front toward you.
2.
Remove the two Philllips PM1.9×2.4 broad head screws (1) that secure the TouchPad to
the keyboard/top cover.
