apply Subcommand

Syntax

apply

Description

The apply command saves monitoring data specified by the group command into files.
The login command must execute before the apply command executes.
The apply command does nothing if the group command executes.
The settings made by the group command will be reset when the apply command finishes.

set Subcommand

set

Description
The set command starts or ends monitoring the storage system (that is, starts or ends collecting
performance statistics). The set command also specifies the gathering interval (interval of collecting
statistics) in short range monitoring.
To use the set command, you must use the login command (see
to log onto the SVP. Ensure that the set command executes immediately before the Export Tool finishes.
Executing the set command generates an error in the following conditions:
Some other user is being logged onto the SVP in Modify mode.
Maintenance operations are being performed at the SVP.
If an error occurs, do the following:
Ensure that all the users who are logged onto the SVP are not in Modify mode. If any user is logged
on in Modify mode, ask the user to switch to View mode.

Description
Displays a message that asks whether to delete existing files or directories.
Deletes existing files and directories and then saves monitoring data in files.
Overwrites existing files and directories.
