    (M4 x 10). Mounting into the Rack for WV-CM1780 or WV-CM1480 The monitor can be mounted into the rack as described below. 1. Place the rack mount bracket supplied onto the side of the monitor and tighten with the four supplied screws (M4x12).

    CONNECTIONS The connections described below should be made by qualified service personnel or system installers. Shown below is an example of a basic system connection. Connection with the Camera Site Connect the Video Output of the camera site equipment to the VIDEO IN connectors on the rear of the monitor using coaxial cables.
  • Page 8 Panasonic Security Data mode In case of connecting multiple devices compatible with the Panasonic Security Data mode, connect the unit in a daisy-chain configuration as shown below. The allowable connecting devices are up to 16 in a system. The maximum allowable cable length of the system is approximately 500 m (1 650 ft).

    SETUP PROCEDURES This monitor offers various onscreen menus for setting user preferences. In the COMMUNICATION SETUP Menu, you can set the parameters for communication between the System Controllers and the Monitors. Displaying the Setup Menu To display the Setup Menu, follow the procedure shown below.
  • Page 10 Camera Configuration (CAM CON- FIG) This item lets you set numbers for the input from sys- tem cameras for RS-485 communication. 1. Move the cursor to CAM CONFIG with the C or D but- ton, then press the - or + button. The CAMERA CONFIG menu shown below will appear on the monitor screen.

    OPERATING PROCEDURES Power Up Before operating the monitor, confirm that the cameras and peripherals are connected correctly and securely. 1. Turn on the monitor by pressing the POWER button. The Power Indicator lights in green. 2. Select the desired input to be displayed by pressing the INPUT SELECT button.
  • Page 12 3. Move the cursor to the BRIGHT, CONTRAST, SHARP- NESS, COLOR, TINT parameter with the C or D but- ton, then adjust the level of the selected item with the - or + button. While the level of an item is being adjusted, the indica- tor displays the changed level as shown below.

    Audio Volume Control The audio volume can be adjusted with the - or + button in normal view. While the volume is being adjusted, the indicator displays the changed level as shown below. -: Decreases the audio volume. +: Increases audio volume. AUDIO Standby Function 1.

    OPERATING PROCEDURES (with the System Controller) For the following procedure, the WV-CM2080, WV-CM1780 or WV-CM1480 needs to be set up first from the Setup menu. The WV-CM2080, WV-CM1780 or WV-CM1480 can be controlled with the specified System Controller. Given below is an example.
