When the dispatcher cancels dynamic regrouping, the
radio automatically returns to the zone and channel
that you were using before the radio was dynamically
regrouped.
Requesting a Reprogram (Trunking Only)
This feature allows you to notify the dispatcher when
you want a new dynamic regrouping assignment.
Perform one of the following actions:
Press the preprogrammed Reprogram
Request button to send reprogram request to
the dispatcher.
or to Rpgm then press the Menu Select
button directly below Rpgm to send reprogram
request to the dispatcher.
The display shows Reprgrm rqst and Please
wait.
If you hear five beeps, the dispatcher has
acknowledged the reprogram request. The display
shows Ack received and the radio returns to the
Home screen.
If the dispatcher does not acknowledge the
reprogram request within six seconds, you hear a
low-pitched alert tone and the display shows No
acknowledge. Try again or press
return to the Home screen.
Classification of Regrouped Radios
The dispatcher can classify regrouped radios into
either of two categories:
Select
Select-enabled radios are free to
Enabled
change to any available channel,
including the dynamic-regrouping
channel, once the user has selected
the dynamic-regrouping position.
Select
Select-disabled radios cannot change
Disabled
channels while dynamically regrouped.
The dispatcher has forced the radio to
remain on the dynamic-regrouping
channel.
The Scan or Private Call feature cannot be selected
while your radio is Select Disabled.
