CONVERSION
PROCEDURE
After
completing
this
conversion,
refer
to
the
KD-2 7 SERIES
DISHWASHERS
INSTALLATION
IN-
STRUCTIONS
to install
your
dishwasher
as a built-in
undercounter
model.
NOTE:
Save all disassembled
parts
(unless
otherwise
noted)
until
conversion
is complete.
1.
DISCONNECT
DISHWASHER
FROM
POWER
AND
WATER
SUPPLIES.
On machines
with
a rinse agent
dispenser,
remove
the four
screws
retaining
the front
door
panel.
Remove
panel,
then
place a small strip
of tape over the vent hole in the rinse agent dispenser
to prevent
fluid
leakage
when
dishwahser
is on its back.

Remove
lower
rack, wash arm, and silverware
basket.
Close and latch the door.
Place dishwasher
on its
back
and support
the top with
a block
of wood
(such
as a 2" x 4").
Drain
water
by placing
the drain
hose in a container.
3.
Remove
two
screws
(Fig.
1) from
lower
front
panel.
Disengage
tabs by pushing
panel toward
the ':op
of the dishwasher,
and pull
panel
forward
and down
to remove.
Remove
three
screws
(Fig.
1) holding
stainless
steel trim
and end caps to lower
front
panel.
Discard
trim,
end caps, and screws.

Electrician:
Locate
the power
cord
(Fig.
2) and determine
if taped
wire
nuts or crimped
connectors
were used on the black
and the white
leads. When removing
connections,
do not pull on the white
wire
as other
connections
may
be disturbed.
If taped
wire
nuts were
used,
remove
them;
if crimped
con-
nectors
were
used, cut the wires
as close to the connectors
as possible.
Cut the wire tie that
holds
the
power
cord
wires
to the cross channel.
Remove
the wiring
cover
by removing
its screw
(Fig, 2). Take
