Power cord protection To avoid any malfunction of the unit, and to avoid electric shock, fire or personal injury, please observe the following.     Compatible with PAL DVD discs and NTSC DVD discs This DVD player can play discs in either PAL or NTSC system for it has system transfer function. This player can play SVCD, CVD, VCD and audio CD discs as well as DVD discs.

    If the DVD player is connected to the TV through a video cassette recorder, the picture may not be played back normally with some DVD discs. If this is the case, do not connect the player via the VCR.
