collision, neither of you has the right of way.
Both of you should change course to avoid a
collision. Keep the other vessel to your left
(port) side. This rule does not apply if both of
you will be clear of one another if you

Basic Operation & Riding
Crossing: If you and another vessel are
crossing paths close enough to risk collision,
and the other vessel is on your right
(starboard), you should yield or stay out of
the way. If the other vessel is on your left
(port) side, you must maintain your course
and speed, as long as the other vessel gives
you the right of way as it should.
