Wheels (Rims)
Front Wheel Installation
•
Apply grease to the seal lips.
•
Fit the collars [A] on the both side of the hub. The collars
are identical.
•
Insert the axle from the right side of the wheel.
•
Tighten:
Torque - Front Axle Nuts: 108 N·m (11.0 kgf·m, 79.7 ft·lb)
•
Install:
Front Fender
•
Tighten:
Torque - Front Axle Clamp Bolt [A]: 20 N·m (2.0 kgf·m, 15
•
Tighten:
Torque - Front Caliper Mounting Bolts: 34 N·m (3.5 kgf·m,
•
Check the front brake effectiveness.
Do not attempt to ride the motorcycle until a full
brake lever is obtained by pumping the brake lever
until the pads are against the disc. The brakes will
not function on the first application of the lever if
this is not done.
Rear Wheel Removal
•
Remove:
Muffler (see Muffler Removal in the Engine Top End
chapter)
•
Using the jack [A] under the frame pipe, lift the rear wheel
off the ground.
Be sure to put the front wheel ON the ground when
removing the rear wheel, or the motorcycle may fall
over. The motorcycle could be damaged.
