Setting Up the Network Address Book

Before you can use the Network Address Book, configure the printer to communicate with the LDAP
server.
To set up the Network Address Book:
1.
At your computer, open a Web browser, in the address field, type the IP address of the printer, then
press Enter or Return.
2.
Click Properties > Protocols > LDAP Server.
3.
For IP Address/Host Name & Port, enter the IP address or DNS name for the LDAP server, then enter
the port number for LDAP.
4.
Type the root path of the search directory in the Search Directory Root field using Base DN format.
For details on Base DN formatting, see the RFC 2849 - LDAP Data Interchange Format (LDIF)
Technical Specification on the IETF website.
5.
Enter a valid login name and password.
6.
Select one or more options.
To enable the Network Address Book for the Scan to Email service, select Server Email Address
Book.
To enable the Network Address Book for the Fax service, select Server Fax Address Book.
7.
Click Save Changes.
