USER TIPS

The recommended maximum relative humidity level is 60% or less,
which allows a noticeable temperature decrease. The temperature
decrease will be greater in drier climates because higher evaporation
occurs when the humidity is low.
The evaporative air cooler should not be used in enclosed spaces. It
must be kept level and there must be water in the water tank. The room
should have doors and windows opened to allow free air flow. The
evaporative air cooler works best when placed near an open window, so
that outside air is drawn into the evaporative air cooler, the air circulates
in the room, then exits via the door. The maximum cooling effect is felt
when a person is in the flow of air coming out of the evaporativeair
cooler.
The evaporative air cooler can also be used to humidify dry air during
cool weather. To be used for humidification the windows and doors
should be closed to allow the humidified air to accumulate. The evapora-
tive air cooler is not an air conditioner as it does not use a compressor or
refrigerant gas. It should not be expected to cool as efficiently as a
refrigerated air conditioner.
NOTE
When the product is used for the first time the Honeycomb cooling media
will have an odour which will dissipate in a week or so of initial use.

De aanbevolen maximale relatieve luchtvochtigheidsniveau is 60% of

temperatuurverlaging zal groter zijn bij een droger klimaat.
De condenserende luchtverkoeler mag niet gebruikt worden in
afgesloten ruimtes. Het apparaat moet waterpas blijven en er moet altijd
water in de tank zitten. De ruimte moet ramen en deuren hebben om in
een vrije luchtstroom te kunnen voorzien. De condenserende
luchtverkoeler werkt het beste wanneer het naast een open raam wordt
geplaatst, zodat de buitenlucht in de condenserende luchtverkoeler
wordt gezogen, de lucht in de ruimte circuleert en dan via de deur naar
buiten gaat. Het maximale koelende effect is merkbaar wanneer een
persoon in de luchtstroom staat die uit de condenserende verkoeler
komt.
De condenserende luchtverkoeler kan ook gebruikt worden om droge
lucht te bevochtigen bij koude weersomstandigheden. Om als
luchtbevochtiger gebruikt te kunnen worden moeten alle ramen en
deuren gesloten zijn zodat het vochtigheidsgehalte kan opbouwen. De
condenserende luchtverkoeler is geen airconditioner want het apparaat
gebruikt geen compressor of verkoelende gassen. Daarom moet niet
verwacht worden dat het apparaat net zo efficiënt verkoeld als een
airconditioner.
NB: wanneer het product voor het eerst wordt gebruikt heeft het
honingraat verkoelingsmedium een geur die na ongeveer een week
vanaf het eerste gebruik zal verdwijnen.
