CAUSE
A fusein yourhomemaybe blown,or thecircuitbreakertripped.Replacefuseor
resetcircuitbreaker.Removeanyotherappliancesfromthecircuit.
Utensilsinaynotbe secureon rackpins,or somethingsmallmayhavedroppedfrom
therack.Wateris causingutensilsto rattle.Makesureeverythingis securelyplaced
in dishwasher.
Makesureinletwatertemperature is correct.(SeeHowto TestWaterTemperature
section.)
Unloadthe bottomrackfirst. Waterfromdishesin the top rack maybe spillinginto
thebottomrack.
Checkfor irnp~oper l oading.Dishesshouldn'tnest together.Avoidoverloading.
Checkthe rinseagentdispenserto seethat it'snot empty.
Checkinletwatertemperature. I t shouldbe at least 120"F. ( Totest, see Howto Test
WaterTemperature section.)
Waterpressuremay be temporarilylow.Turnon a faucet.Is watercomingout slower
thanusual?If so, waituntilpressureis normalbeforeusingyour dishwasher.
Pluggedair gap. (SeeCareandCleaningsection.)
Improperrack ioading.(SeeLoadingsection.)
Watermay not be reachingthe detergentcups.Movedishesthat maybe blocking
detergentcup.
The dispensercovermay not be openingor may be blockedby improperlyloaded
items.If you used a powderdetergent,openthe cup and removeany caked-on
detergent.H the cup still doesn'topenautomatically, c allfor service.
Detergentmay be old. If the powderdetergentis hard or cakedin the box, throwit
away.The detergentmay not be workingwell.Try anotherbrand.
CycleIndicatorDial mustbe OFFfor cup lid to close and Iatchproperly.If you
unlatchthe door and open it to dry your dishes,the CycleIndicatorDial does
not advanceto OFFby itself.
Teaor coffeecan staincups. Removethe stainby hand, using a solutionof 1/2cup
bleachand 3 cups warm water.
An overallyellowor brown film on dishesor glasswarecan be causedby iron
depositsin water.A specialfilterin the water supplyline is the only way to correct
this problem.Yourwater softenercompanycan tell you aboutthe filter.
Yellowfilm on sterlingsilver resultswhen you wash copperutensilsin the sameload.
Silverpolish will usuallyremovethis stain.
