    Chassis installation fundamentals This chapter describes fundamental information that you need for installing the Ethernet Routing Switch 8300 chassis (8306 and 8310 chassis) . Each Ethernet Routing Switch 8300 chassis consists of a sheet metal enclosure and a backplane. The number of bays for fan trays depends on the chassis type.
