POWER
Using Batteries
You can power the system from four "C"
size batteries
(not supplied)
(two in each
speaker). We recommend
alkaline batter-
ies.
Follow these steps to install batteries
in
each speaker.

Lift the tab on the battery compartment
cover in the direction of the arrow and
remove the cover.
Install two "C" size batteries,
as indi-
cated by the polarity symbols (+ and -)
inside the compartment.
Replace the cover.
Repeat Steps 1-3 for the other speaker.
Note: If the sound becomes weak or the red
LED indicator fades, replace the batteries.
Caution:
To avoid damage to the system,
remove the batteries if you do not plan to
use the speakers for a month or more, or if
you plan to use AC or DC power.
Using AC Power
You can power the speakers from a stan-
dard AC outlet with an AC adaptor
(not
supplied).
Cautions:
You must use an AC adaptor that sup-
plies 9 volts and delivers at least 500
milliamps.
Its centre tip must be set to
positive, and its plug must correctly fit
the system's DC 9V socket. The recom-
mend adaptor meets these specifica-
tions. Using an adaptor that does not
meet these specifications
could seri-
ously damage the system or the adap-
tor.
Be sure you connect the adaptor
as
instructed, and disconnect the adaptor
from the AC outlet before you discon-
nect it from the system. Otherwise, the
unconnected
plug might touch some
metal and damage the adaptor.
