Basic installation of the IP Phone 1535 consists of connecting to the correct ports using the appropriate cables. Make the physical connections for the handset and power, as well as attach the IP Phone 1535 to the included telephone stand, by following the procedures in the following sections.

Configuring the FTP server login account For the IP Phone 1535 to successfully obtain software updates, you must configure a login account on your FTP server, which the IP Phone 1535 will use in making its connection during the software update process.
