When refitting the seat-
back, make sure it is cor-
rectly locked in place.
If seat covers are fitted,
make sure these do not prevent the
seatback latch from locking in.
Make sure that the seat belts are

Press button 2 or pull handle 3: the
seatback will fold down by itself.
Note: when you are folding a seatback
back up, check that it is correctly locked
(button 2 is flush).
The seatbacks can be folded down
in order to transport large objects.
In all situations, lower the rear head-
rests (refer to the information on the
"Rear headrests" in Section 1).
To place objects on the folded-down
seatback: remove the headrests so
that the seatbacks are flat against the
seat base. Refer to the information on
"Transporting objects in the luggage
compartment" in Section 3.
Check that no-one, includ-
ing animals, is in the vicin-
ity of the rear bench seat
before pulling handle 3.
