Recording screen

The recording screen is the main interface for recording
dictations and editing existing recordings. Mark a
recording as a priority dictation, edit the dictation
name, add an index mark, insert, overwrite or append
recordings, and more.
Tip
• Change the name of your recording by tapping
the name either on the recording screen or in the
Properties window (see the following table).

• Start a new dictation right
from the recording screen.
The current audio file is
automatically saved to
your recordings list in the
Recordings tab when you
start a new dictation.
• Add a picture to your
dictation.
• Add various keywords
to your dictation, for
example, worktype,
author, or attributes.
Before you add keywords,
first set them up in
Settings > Forwarding >
Workflow.
• Select an option how
you want to send your
dictation.
• Scan a barcode. The
barcode is automatically
added to your dictation.
• Shows the title of the
dictation. If you want
to change the dictation
name, tap the title and
enter the new dictation
name.
• Shows the passed and
the total time of the
recording.
• Shows the microphone
mode. The microphone
mode can be controlled
by the built-in motion
sensor which senses
when the device is placed
on the desk or held in the
hand. The microphone
mode is set accordingly
then.
• Shows that a dictation
is being recorded when
the slide switch is in the
recording position.
• Shows that the recording
is stopped when the
slide switch is in the stop
position.
• Shows that the playback
of a recording is stopped
when the slide switch is in
the stop position.
