  • Page 4 Windows 7 & Vista Installation Instructions for Windows 7 & Vista IMPORTANT! Do not connect the HWDN3 until you install the driver from the CD and are instructed to do so. Otherwise, the adapter may not operate properly. Insert the Setup CD and a menu page will automatically appear on your screen.

    Windows XP Installation Instructions for Windows XP Important: Do Not connect the Network Adapter into the USB port until you have installed the driver from the CD and are instructed to do so. Otherwise, the Adapter may not operate correctly. Insert the Setup CD and a menu page will automatically appear on your screen.

    Mac OS Installation for Mac OS IMPORTANT! Do not connect the HWDN3 until you install the driver from the CD and are instructed to do so. Otherwise, the adapter may not operate properly. Be sure to save all your work before continuing. Your computer will automatically restart after the driver installation.
  • Page 13 Mac OS Welcome to the Hawking HWDN3 Hi-Gain USB Wireless-300N Dish Adapter Driver Installer. Click “Continue”, read the impor- tant information, and click “Continue” again. Software License Agreement: click “Continue” and “Agree” on the following screen.
  • Page 14 Mac OS You may be prompted to choose a location to install the Drivers and Utilities. Choose a location and click “Continue”. Click “Install” to continue installation. If your computer is password protected enter your password, then click “Continue Installation” on the following screen.

    Mac OS Connect To A Wireless Network After plugging in the adapter, the HWDN3 Wireless Utility will automatically pop up. You will be asked to enable your WLAN card. When the NOTICE window appears, click “OK”. Then, click “Network Preferences”.
