Feature Guide
If a call between an extension user and an outside party is established,
the call duration can be restricted by a system timer selected for each
trunk group. Both parties will hear warning tones at five-second
intervals starting 15 seconds before the time limit. When the time limit
expires, the line will be disconnected. COS programming determines
whether this feature is enabled or disabled. Whether this feature
applies to outgoing calls only, or to both outgoing and incoming calls is
determined through system programming.
If a call between two outside parties is established, the call duration
can be restricted by a system timer selected for each trunk group. Both
parties will hear warning tones at five-second intervals starting 15
seconds before the time limit. When the time limit expires, the line will
be disconnected.
If both parties involved in the trunk-to trunk call were established by an
extension (e.g., an extension makes a trunk call, then transfers the call
to an outside party), the time limit applied to the trunk call that was
made first will be used.
When the preprogrammed call charge limit has been reached, an
extension user will hear 3 warning tones at five-second intervals. It is
programmable whether the line is disconnected after the third tone.
After the call has ended, the extension user cannot make further trunk
calls until the charge limit has been increased or cleared by an
extension assigned as a manager (→ 1.9.2 Budget Management).
While engaged in an incoming trunk call, the dialling of digits can be
restricted. If the number of dialled digits exceeds the limitation, the line
will be disconnected.
