G3 Remove the spring clip (50) and
withdraw the tine assembly (3).
•
When re-assembling the parts, ensure
that the cover (48) is located correctly at
each corner where it fits into your raker
body (1), then refit the two screws (47) to
secure it in place (Fig. G1).
Handy hints
•
Do not force your raker through grass that is too
long. It is recommended that your raker should
not be used in grass that is longer that 75mm
(3 inches) in length.
•
Do not use in wet or damp conditions.
•
To obtain the best result from your raker use it
regularly. It is recommended that your raker is
used at the beginning and end of each grass
cutting season to give your lawn a thorough
scarifying. Your raker should also be used after
each mowing session to remove any grass
cuttings that may have been left behind by
your raker.
•
Rake first in one direction and then at the next
occasion at right angles. Initially, this may make
the grass look bare and straggly but it will
rapidly recover.

Care and maintenance

Warning! Do not use an extension cable
!
which shows signs of damage. Fit a new
cable completely - do not make any
permanent or temporary repairs.
•
Always keep your raker clean and free
from grass cuttings, especially the motor
vents on the side of your raker body.
•
Check all electrical cables at regular
intervals, looking for signs of wear,
abrasion or other damage.
•
At the end of each raking session we
recommend that the build up of grass on
the tone assembly is removed using a
blunt scraper.
•
Clean all plastic components with a
damp cloth and all metal components
with a soft, dry cloth.
Caution: Do not use solvents or cleaning
fluids as these may damage the plastic
components of your raker.

will accept your old raker and will dispose of it
in an environmentally safe way.

This guarantee provides 36 months parts cover
and 12 months labour (UK), 24 months parts
cover and labour (Australia and New Zealand).
In all cases proof of purchase will be required.
lf your Black & Decker raker becomes defective,
within the guarantee period, due to faulty materials
and workmanship, we guarantee to either replace all
defective parts, or at our discretion, replace your
raker free of charge, provided that:

Your raker is returned to one of our authorised
repair agents with evidence of purchase.
•
Your raker has been used within the parameters
of its consumer classification.
•
Your raker has not been used for hire purposes.
•
Repairs have not been attempted by anyone
other than our authorised repair agents.
•
The failure represents normal wear and tear.
This guarantee is offered as an extra benefit and is
additional to your statutory rights.
